Dr. Alex Agiliga is a licensed clinical psychologist and a member of the District CBT Team, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. With a strong background in supporting young adults and professionals through life’s transitions, she has extensive experience from her previous roles in college counseling centers. There, she assisted students in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, identity development, and academic or career stressors.
Dr. Robinson is a licensed clinical psychologist and a recognized expert in behavior change, specializing in helping individuals transform unhelpful thoughts and behaviors into lasting, positive outcomes. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches that support emotional well-being and behavioral health.
Her advanced education includes degrees from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Robinson’s clinical training was completed at leading institutions, including the National Institutes of Health, D.C. Superior Court, and the D.C. VA Medical Center, providing her with broad experience across outpatient, hospital, and forensic settings, as part of the District CBT Team.
Dr. Robinson is also a published researcher, with over 20 publications focused on behavior change and evidence-based interventions, reflecting her deep expertise in helping clients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their lives.
Dr. Alex Agiliga (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides culturally-responsive therapy to adults in Maryland via telehealth. Her approach to therapy, which includes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is nonjudgmental and collaborative, characterized by a warm and supportive style. Dr. Agiliga assists individuals in exploring and better understanding aspects of their identity, addressing interpersonal concerns, adjusting to life transitions, improving their ability to cope with life's stressors, navigating professional challenges, and much more. She is a proud member of the District CBT Team. Dr. Agiliga earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of settings, including university counseling centers, community mental health centers, inpatient and outpatient treatment centers, and hospitals.
